Hi all, I've got a lil 1.1 2002 Saxo and im literally about to drive a few hours to go and collect the vtr alloys I bought last night for it. I've only just noticed on the web I might need different wheel nuts because its on steel wheels atm? But i might not as its a mk2 and citroen changed them? Any ideas or thoughts what to do as I want them on today and I dont want to have to order them of eBay and wait... tbh I was planning on putting them on as soon as paying for them... Cheers in advance, Mike.

Steel wheel bolts are different to the one's for OE alloys.

Then there are 2 types of alloy bolts depending on age.

VTR alloys need flat seated bolts last time I checked.

The spare wheel is a steel on a VTR from factory (looks like a Rallye steel) and it's got inserts to convert the steel wheel from tapered to flat. At least I've seen that one some of them This is what makes me quite sure, but not 100%.

I have heard of tapered bolts for alloys though.

Take a wheel nut off, see if the back face is flat or tapered. If its flat you'll have problems. If it's tapered you'll be fine.
