Left side knocking and backfire?

   Drove my car to work this morning and I'm not sure if its backfire but when in second gear there's a loud bang and my car judders.
   
   Other problem is when turning sharp left or right I hear a knocking sound. Now this morning my car randomly spazzed out and decided to turn right out of nowhere.
   
   I'm guessing it could be my shocker? And I don't have a clue on the backfire (if it is) so any help appreciated.

   Shock, Steering rack or maybe a driveshaft or anti roll bar.. a video would help diagnose.

   I managed to get my car to a garage and I was told its my gearbox. When trying to set off it sounded like something was stuck and grinding. But I'll know for sure on Monday. The other was shocker and drive shaft.
