omex base map

   Finally got the car on the road today but its running s**t car used to run ok on stage 3 cam and itb but now its got stage 5 and high comp not so good never got round to getting it mapped before so no idea wha map is on the ecu as got the engine and ecu used got a base map to put on 1 problem only got rs232 to usb doesent work is there any1 in midlands that can help thanks

   youll need it mapping properly by someone to suit the engine mods

   Its booked in for 2 weeks time just dont trust running it in the way it is

   Engine only done 10 miles need a good 500 before map

   get them to run it in on the rollers
   they can correct things close enough and safely run it in

   Its not worth running a engine unmapped, people saying it needs running for so many miles before mapping to run it in is old skool. Most mappers not can start mapping from scratch on a freshly built engine.

   I'm currently in the same situation, I need someone to give me a hand getting my emerald into a state where I can actually get it somewhere to get mapped.
   
   You're in the same area (ish) as me i'd assume from the Midlands... Where are you taking your car for mapping? Need to get mine booked in lol

   Why? Can be run without running just fine. The base/non-load mapping will be you're "running in" on the dyno.

    the running in for 500miles is a bit myth with a modern engine. Dont drive it around with the map doing god knows what. It might lean off and hole a piston? you dont know.
    
    Get it mapped. Use another car for the time being.
