fuel starvation

  1. #1
just wondering what could be causing fuel starvation in my diesel saxo. Iv replaced the fuel filter ( is there only one or other filters that could be affecting it?) as im having issues staring it, and it seems to be a fuel starvation problem. Have tried bleeding it also.

    Any help would be lovely!

Only 1 fuel filter, possible that crap from the fuel tank has been sucked up blocking the fuel lines?

Nope thought it was them to begin with so replaced them an tested
The relay but works fine! It turns over and over, but when it turns over
With your foot on the throttle it splutters into life an is fine after that!
However the exhaust started rattling today not sure if thats related
Or something else to fix haha

how would i go about cleaning the injectors? can you remove them to do this? also someone has suggested valve clearence, do you think this could be the problem?

Wouldn`t have thought that valve clearances would be the cause. As regards the injectors remove them then take them to a company that can ultrasonically clean them. You`ll get a test report back & advice on whether any are in need of replacement.
