Important! : Manifold, urgent

    Changing the manifold on my MK2 VTR, cant get the top sensor out of the hole, whats the best way to get it out without cutting anything.

    Urgent please!

    disassembly/penetrating fluid, heat from a blow torch, and patience.

    So I can heat it up & not damage it? And i've sprayed a load of spray on it

    heat the manifold as close as you can to it, not the sensor itself. You'll not damage the manifold, but yeah, direct heat on the sensor will kill it (heat from the top that is).

    Yeah, getting oxyacetaline on it tomorrow, got a 22mm crow foot, penetrating fluid and a big bar, still wouldnt budge.. fucking thing!

    Last time i had trouble with mine, I gave up and just bought a new sensor lol.
    If its really old, sometimes they just dont want to come out.

    I take it you've put a spanner around it and tried knocking it slowly with a hammer to see if it will budge?

    +1 wire brush the base soak in wd40 then the above.

    Tried all of the above, in the end got heat on it and pulled the threads out.. Still cant find a Pre Cat lambda sensor for cheap.. :\
