rocker cover pipes

   Can someone tell me what the pipes are for coming from the rocker cover. One goes to the right that has a breather on it but what's the other one going to left? Is it crucial because it snapped off from the bit that goes onto the rocker cover.
   
   
   My car idles for a min or 2 then dies. Still drivable but very sluggish likes there's something wrong. Is it this pipe or something else?

   I only have mobile mate so i don't think i can. Literally just the pipe snapped from the one that goes onto the rocker cover from like the inlet or wherever it comes from
