Need some guide and help on doing a BE4 gearbox conversion

    Hello Guys ,

i am new to this forum and i believe that many ppl already did a BE4 conversion on the TU5 block

i have a TU5JP4 engine took a most economical turbo package from dp engineering the car is running good but i need a stronger gearbox since have already broke one MA with a hydraulic clutch !

need your help on how to install it on my car !

    it's a Peugeot 307 1.6 16v TU5JP4 with a hydraulic clutch MA gearbox

first of all please could you tell me what's the code on the side of the gearbox that fits on the TU5 block ?

is it highly recommended to get the drive shafts from the same car where the BE4 gearbox has been taken from ? what if they are shorter or longer ?

what about the gearbox top mount ? does it requires a any modification ? also the gear change cables are needs to be changed !

any bracket needs to be made up for the starter ?

any help will be really appreciated

    thanks in advance

Can use 306 GTi hubs and driveshafts with the drivers side shaft shortened by 20mm iirc. Thats what we have done with our rally car with the BE4R box.
