   I have a mk2 00 plate 1.1 do thecheap code readers work on this as most say 2001 on?

   Some manufacturers activated them early before 2001 but not many so to be careful until you get the chance to try someone elses... No it wont work....
   
   Just out of curiosity if many others have said no... Why are you still asking?

   No it wont work, yours will be a single plug ecu.
   
   They only work on 3 plug ecu's on saxo/106s.

   Carnt be a 2000 then, well if you have a 3 plug it will work

   Mines a 2000. W reg. it's obd in fact I use a cheap £18 reader off eBay or a cheap £20 wifi scan tool an both work perfectly!
