Standard MAF readings

  1. #1
Hi all, my girlfriends saxo has come up with the error code P0170 which is the fuel trim, bank 1. After reading around a bit, this is very common on European cars and the usual cause is the MAF sensor. I do have a scanner to monitor the MAF but the problem I've got is I have no idea what the standard readings should be. If anyone can help me out it would be much appreciated!!!!

saxos dont use MAF. Load control is done from MAP and TPS

Ahh ok thanks. So what would be a standard MAP reading? Forgot to say its a 2000 1.1 desire

standard map reading would be in the region of 30kPa at idle and 100kPa at full throttle.

Autodata should have a more accurate typical MAP reading at idle

I would also pay attention to the lambda sensor if you have access to a scan tool.
