not a saxo, but a pug 307 diesel

Wondering if someone can shed some light on a 307 diesel.

Went to view a car earlier and there's more faults with it than i expected.

    It's an ex-taxi, 53 reg. It's had a new headlight/control stalk and a new master cylinder.

Now, when i started it up there was a vibration/lumpy idle kind of noise but that disappeared once it started getting upto temp.....any ideas?

Clutch needs doing on this car too but it would only select gears if the engine was off, trying to select any gear while engine was on is impossible.....would that be the clutch or is it something else?

engine management light is on, but i will know more about that in the morning when i put the diagnostics machine on.

On the lcd screen on dash, there's 2 warnings which come up:
    1) diesel additive is low.....what is this?....all i know is it's not the stuff you buy in those small bottles like red-ex.
2)anti pollen something or other.....im guessing that is just a filter somewhere in the engine bay?

Any help on the above please?

Im going to go back at some point in the morning and have a better look (if it's not pissing it down this time), so would need answers before i set off.

    Cheers

    Nobody?

Anti pollen is usually the filter for the air conditioning that needs changing, as for the other problem I don't have a clue.

    Cold start injector valve?

If walk away tbh, they often get bottom end failure and if its An ex taxi it's more then likely been abused- clearly hasn't been looked after

I have walked away from it. was going really cheap and thought i could make a quick return but decided against it, let some other person have a bash with it lol.

I know you've walked away but just for reference...

Diesel additive low: Probably needs the diesel particulate filter (DPF) fluid topping up which it mixes in every time you fill with fuel. Think its called "eolys" fluid.

The rattling could be the Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF) on its way out and in need of replacement. Modern diesels are a barrel of laughs. Not.

Had a 307 and they are terrible for the fly wheels goin just when u were talking about the clutch in ure post just thought i would mention, and u have to think bein an ex taxi its been around the block a few times so probably has loads of problems
