vtr idle control valve

    hi all
i have a 2001 vtr with idle problem,
i need to buy a new icv,but when i look on flea-bay and put the code from mine in (which is A96159),it comes up as a vts valve.
will this still be the right one?
thanks in advance for any help.

They use the same valve mate, eBay valves are known to be hit or miss you get a good one or a bad one.

I just bought an ICV for my 2001 vtr today, it cost me £38 from parkers. It's a Siemens VDO unit aswell so it's good quality. A word of warning though, it will take longer to initialise the new valve than stated online (usually ign on for 3 secs then off for 10secs twice) I had to work the ignition loads of times otherwise it just idle's at 4000rpm, but dont worry, it will adjust itself eventually

You can make the valve as clean as you like, but if you don't clean the housing it goes into it'll make no difference!
