Help my vts is broken

    hi my vts is making a horrible banging when pulling away like a slipping then bang gets drive again what can this be not anther gearbox!!!!

    Check your gearbox mounts first

    Could maybe be the clutch on its way out?

    Only in first gear? what happens if you put the handbrake on and lift the clutch pedal slowly at idle? if it shudders that would suggest the clutch.

    To be fair, since I can't see it you're not gonna get an accurate diagnosis on the internet

    its been doing it in 1st and second gear worse when you turn feels like something slips then bang to be fair the car has been feeling like its pulling all over the road!

    Could well be the shafts if it's worse when you turn. Hard to diagnose over the Internet though with symptoms like that.

    Sounds like gearbox/clutch and possibility of driveshafts. I'd go for clutch and gearbox.

    When setting off in first gear, do you get a loud banging sound? Like something has popped?

    Sound suspiciously like an engine mount gone dude. Get under the bonnet and get physical, grab the engine anywhere solid, either side of the rocker cover is good, and try to rock it forward and backwards. If alls well there should be very minimal movement, if you can move it a fair amount then id get your engine mounts checked.
