When does the fan on a vts kick in?

   On the gauge it normally sits at half way and the fan doesn't kick in untill 3/4 o the way up.
   
   Is this normal?

   Mine does the same. To say its normal I dunno but I've heard the temp gauge in Saxo's is temperamental. Mine goes up just below 3/4's then the fan kicks in and it drops below halfway. Seems the norm.

   Mine never goes past half. I think it goes on at half..
   
   have you bled it properly?

   It been like this since I've owned the car, I will just clarify.
   
   The car can sit idling for 45 minutes and the temp stays at half way, doesn't move.
   
   I wondered when the fan kicks in because I've never heard it so I kept it at 2k revs for about 4-5 minutes and it kicked in at 3/4 on the gauge

   My VTR sits just below the half way point and the fan comes on just after, is that normal?

   That's what my VTR use to be like. The VTS is different

   My vtr goes just over half, fan cuts in, the stops at half, never gets close to 3/4

   My VTS gauge sits just under half way.
   
   Normally comes on once ive finished my commute of around 50 mins. Weather dependant obviously.

    On our 3 plug car's
    
    VTR fan kicks in just after 1/2
    
    VTS fan kicks in about 3/4
    
    Both sit just below 1/2 with noraml driving

    Thanks, both my Vtr and vts are 3 plugs and do the same.!
