saxo vts running problem

   I have an 02 vts that is massivly overfueling 90k on it i bought it spares or repairs last week but its to good to break!
   
   iv tryed
   
   coil pack
   plugs
   idle control valve
   throttle body
   
   it runs/ idles like s**t and black smokes a lot! if u rev it, it runs beter missfires a bit still tho, it stinks of petrol any ideas???

   lambda sensors , if fucked will cause major overfuelling

   the guy who sold me it said he had changed that aswell! which on the manifold or the one after the cat?

   On the manifold. Have a look if its been changed recently you should be able to tell if its new as well.

   lamda sensor(s) control the fueling via the ecu, it reads how much oxygen there is in the gasses, if it reads false readings then all your fuelling is fucked
   
   change that first!
   
   when i put my 16v in with a fucked lambda sensor in it , it finished 15 quids worth of fuel in less than 7 miles

    Take the gearbox out and put it in the other one.
