Hi guys,
I have recently purchased a 106 1.1 with a full gti conversion, However i have a problem with the idle, and with it bogging down.
Once shes warm she plays up on idle and cuts out, and bogs down when i hit the gas, then i lift off, and put my foot down again, it clears and she takes off. This only happens between 1k up to 2.5k then from there to the limit its FAULTLESS pulls really strong.
Now the lad i got this off said the engine he used had PH3 cams. Of course i have zero proof of this. And i beg to differ, i have seen lumpy idles, but this is rev up/rev down - cut out. Not the usual "lumpiness" you would expect.
After having a look in the bay she has orange band injectors, yet my other gti engine which is bog standard has green band injectors.
which ones are the correct ones? as i have no idea.
