vts slipped tooth?

    02 plate vts overfueling and running crap,
    had someone look at it toaday pluged diagnostics into it and wont read there is no power to the plug point! took cambelt cover off i can push the belt about 1/2 inch with my finger!
    if its slipped a tooth will the engine be damaged also any other ideas why it would run poor?
    its had:-
    plugs
    coil pack
    lambda sensor in manifold
    mass airflow sensor
    and engine temp sensor
    any ideas?

    but in what direction did you push it?

    that wouldn't make your car overfuel, if it had jumped a tooth it would be the worst noise imaginable at high rpm. give it a rev, if it starts tapping then that's it.

    inwards wasn't what I was looking for is that between the cams? you can press it down?

    black smoke loads is running very rich or misfiring.

    Not likely to be a timing problem, more likely a sticking injector?

    Just throwing these ideas out there

    Yes they will you have to swop the loom though,

    I use single plug injectors on my S.

    iv got the loom aswell! its a strange fault with it as most thing have been checked!! and yes i meant between the cams mate
