Important! : Clutch (Help!)

  1. #1
Ok so I had a clutch pedal that was dropping on full adjustment, I replaced the clutch for a new valeo one as expected the old one was knackered. Still a low pedal on full adjustment so I changed the cable as it was mega stretched. The pedal is now align with the brake but it is also fully adjusted which makes me think the selector arm is the problem. Here's some videos of it, can someone help me

    Side to side movement

    Up and down movement

There is a bolt through the hole as the pin shattered, not sure how I can improve this. Can anyone help?

Here's a pic of my pedals on full adjustment

Clutch pedal fully adjusted should sit just higher than the brake. not level with it

It could be the nylon bush for the release bearing fork is worn? or that arm is somehow bent?

Yeah I think the bush might be knackered, are they easy to replace. Also is it worth using a tap and putting it through the arm and fork so they are tight, as the bolt in it at moment is sitting through it and has a bit of play, which I reckon may be the problem

Not sure, I've never tapped one before

That could be the problem. does the arm rattle when you grab it and shake it? it should be pretty stiff.

I mean, how much is a bit of play?

Il have a look to see if anyone else has done it. i dont think a new pin will fit cos the hole has probably ovalised. Yeah it wobbles a lot, didn't realise it was meant to be stiff. Not sure if you can see the videos above

No i can't see the vids

    paste the link instead?

Gearbox out to fix that. That play is pretty bad haha

Bush at the top and the bottom of the fork is severly worn and it's got a bad repair at the top there with a bolt

    that's probably your problem

Ah well lol yeah the bolt was an AA job, to get me home lol so this could be the cause to why my cable is always on full adjustment? Cheers for your help mate

    Yeah,

but I can see in the video your nylon inserts are buggered as well, which won't help

Ok cheers for that, I'll get on it as soon as I can
