knocking left front

   Ive just changed the struts and had done about 70 mile when the frontleft start knocking over bumps.
   
   had it jacked up, there is some play in the wheel -only up and down. However there is no obvious signs of movement.
   
   Im think its the ball joint but im not sure,
   anyhelp?

   Knocking on bumps is a good sign your ball joints are shagged. What were the drop links like when you changed the struts? All the wishbone bolts done up?

   drop links were changed not long ago, ive had the wheel off and checked that everythings tight.
