Exhaust options for MOT

   Right the problem is that the VTR has got a blow in the exhaust. It is a phase two silver top. The full system is standard the now and the centre section and back box are less than a year old which makes me think its the manifold. You can ony hear it when the fun pedal is down quite a bit. The cars MOT is in a couple of months and I was wondering what my options are. Cheaper the better. I don't know wether or not to get a second hand performance manifold with a cat centre section and then change it after MOT or what other options I have. Not sure the price of a second hand/new manifold for it. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Kyle

   just get under the car and see where/if it's blowing? might not be or may just be a case of tightening the system up.

   You'll need a non blowing exhaust otherwise you'll fail emmisions. I got bored reading the rest of your comment as it makes no sense.

   As said above if your exhaust is blowing it will fail emissions take the whole system off gun gum every join and tighten back up. Job should be a gooden then.

   mot tester dependant.
   
   Mine didnt get an advisery this year.
   
   But last year (diff tester) it got 1.
