Jacking Probs

  1. #1
Got my self a lower strut brace. Jacked the car up on the drivers side to put it on only to find out I do not have the right spanner size to undo the nut.

So I put the car back on the ground and now it seems to sit a lot higher than what it did. Part of me thinks I'm imagining it but it just looks like the front sits higher than it did?

    Are the springs buggered??

Also when replacing the strut where should the axl stands go? The only places I could find got right in my way!!

Just wait for suspension to settle. Move the car back and forwards a bit and it'll go back down, springs just haven't had any weight on them. If its still like it in a day then maybe they're buggered.

Put the stands under the front wishbone mounts. If you do that properly you can access the bolts easily to fit the brace

I tried a socket but the socket was too big and I couldn't get the socket and the handle over the nut due to the wishbone being in the way. Gave up trying too because I ended up rounding off the nut and now I can't get it off!!
