Quick service parts question?

  1. #1
Looking at buying a few things to service the old Sax. I have a 52 plate VTR.

I've typed the numberplate into Eurocarparts and picked the items that then in theory should be a straight fit.

But i just want to double check, as when I search on here I find that you need 10mm spark plugs (iirc?) but the plugs I've found have a "14mm outer thread":

And are these filters the correct as well?:

    Fuel filter:

    Oil Filter:

    Cheers for any help.

filters are definately the correct ones, i'm not totally sure on the spark plugs but they look right to me.

Cheers man, I'll get them anyway... just wanted to double check on the off chance that they were wrong. Never totally trust the automated number plate/car identity system thing they have.

I see that, but getting 30% off at Europparts at the mo when you spend 15 quid so the above stuff is costing like a tenner and I can pick it up as it's just along the road from me.

But cheers I'll use that site in the future.

Picked up the stuff and realised when I got home that they gave me "Shell Engine Oil (Helix HX5 15w40 5Ltr) "

But as suspected this is what it recommends for the saxo when i put my reg in.

I take it this is no use, and I need 10w40?

    It will do the job

woudlnt say the oil would be an issue as its only slightly thicker when cold but if it were me i'd swap it for 10w40

Aye I thought that, especially with Scottish winters.

    I'll go and swap it.
