Best way for bolts and springs on aftermarket manifold

  1. #1
I have just fitted a supersprint manifold to my saxo mk vts and i have a magnex centre pipe and back box. Finding it is blowing a bit i have fitted a new saxo wire gasket that fits on fine.

I wanting to know what it the best way to connect the magnex de cat pipe to the manifold is it

bolt, spring, decat pipe flange then in to the supersprint manifold nut

    or

bolt, flange spring in the middle of both flanges and then in to supersprint manifold nut

looked online and on google but people seem to have different set ups and most look standard which i'm not using due to the supersprint having the nut hole already on the flange.

the only issue with mine is the supersprint manifold has the nuts welded/built in to them so you can't put the bolts on like you would standard mate

same as mine. iv just got the wire gasket inbetween flanges and a bolt going through into the nut on the manifold. no leaks either.

They're a twat to tighten up. I ended up rounding the threads by mistake on my supersprint mani so bought some big bolts/nuts and couple washers, drilled the welded nut holes bigger, Cut the springs and bolted it up that way. Jobs a gooden and has been for the last 12 months

    Italian flanges iirc

Tried a couple of different ways and no leaks now after fitting it this way

Bolt-washer-spring, then flange, wire gasket in the middle and into the nut on the supersprint manifold flange
