#4Mine does around 300 to a tank before it hits the white line.. motorway miles 40mpg give or take
Yours would look at about 50 odd mpg lol. No chance
Say you did that drive again.. near 450 miles to a tank? lol. -
#5My 106 GTI managed 47mpg average going to FCS and back doing about 70 all the way.Quote:Mine does around 300 to a tank before it hits the white line.. motorway miles 40mpg give or take

Going to town and back from my house (also known as a combined cycle) and I manage about 36mpg.
OP managed 43mpg (217 miles / 4.95 gallons (half a tank)) -
#6going by the online calculators..
Nothing wrong with my car pal.
-
#7A tank is 45 litres from dry to full.Quote:400 miles to a tank @ £131 is like 53mpg dude come on. he does what say 450 miles to a tank thats 60mpg. But okay

Nothing wrong with my car pal.
That's 9.9 gallons ish.
noob
450 miles / 9.9 gallons is 45mpg.
Obviously, you can't use all the fuel in the tank.
Just face it, your car is broken. -
#8So I'm lying?? I'm telling u how it is
-
#9Nobody said you're lying. dry those eyes
-
#11It was all moterway also
-
#12It isnt broke at all. during that drive the loud pedal was regulary used.Quote:A tank is 45 litres from dry to full.

I will do a more accurate one for fcs end of the month.. -
#13Your saying no chance! I'm saying that's what my vts did, I'm not interested in starting a bullshit thread saying my car does more than it actually does, just telling the truth from today, just got back needle on half way and done 220 miles
-
#14200 ish miles to a tank
fun miles
-
#16I also nursed 410 miles from a tank. Chorley to scotland with 1 tank!
Was doing 60mph all way and letting off downhills etc proper anal..
Booted it on way back and only cost a extra 20 or so but after 6 weeks from home and a nice wage I wasn't going to do 60 all the way back haha! -
#17I was doin 65ish most of the way to be honest
-
#1945 litre tank - £1.44 a litre (momentum 99) = £64.80 But is never empty so lucky to get 55-60 in.
-
#201.30.9
-
#21About average, though pretty good indeed. Next time try without putting your right foot down at all and you might notice a difference
-
#22am about 1.32 a litre
-
#23Wish I got mpg as good as mentioned in this thread

My car runs fine.
But with xsi gearbox, cams, lots of short in traffic journeys and too much use of the loud pedal.
All add up to poor mpg.
-
#2526£ a moth month to insure my vts
-
#27The most I've managed is 370 to a tank
-
#30You don't need to.........easiest way to work out how many mpg you do is fill the tank completely fuel, when the fuel stops pumping.Quote:I'm not going to run mine till the light comes on so suppose I won't find out yet
Reset the trip meter then drive about until you've used about half a tank then go fill up.
Fill it up full again then keep a note of how many litres it takes to fill up.....lets says its 30 litres and you've done 200 miles.
Divide 30 litres by 4.5 to give the gallons used then divide the 200 by the gallons used and that will give you your mpg.
This example is 30mpg.... -
#31Thanks mate
-
#32I did about 40 mile last and it cost me 40 quid ha.
Or and that's V Power -
#33VTR's yo do like 50mpg :')
The needles arent that accurate, you would be better filling it back full and working out what you have actually got. -
#34So yeah. Eat your heart out. 208 miles to half a tank from today. Motorway pwning.
I promised her new parts next week. She gave me good mpg. -
#35I get 300 miles out of £70 in the Audi. Think yourself lucky haha
