ok, got a saxo vts, 2002.

with my gears, im having trouble finding them, mainly the bottom row... ometimes my clutch peddle feels quite soft and flimsy... 1st gear car seesm to have a shake pulling away... reverse gear seems to shake the whole gear stick and you have to grind it into reverse...

is this clutch, gearbox, linkage???? someone help me i have no idea...!!!

also ould this happen because of overheating, although i dont really see it as much of an option because i have a sports racing clutch.... only fitted 4 months ago!

i also have a weird screechy type of noise comign from the back of the gear things its back passanger side, and has something to do with the brake, because they evntally stop making the noise after i tap the brakes a few times... any ideas what that is either...?

This sounds like one of your gear linkage has popped off. Worst case it's knackered and it'll need replaced.

Funny happened to my lasses corsa on Saturday, she could get the gears but only just as the stick felt loose. Popped the bonnet and one of the linkages had popped off.

Sounds the same as what your having. Look at the pic below and it's going to be one of the two number 4's or the 5. More than likely the four. To check you can either look from under the car or if you take the air box off you can see it.

Should pop back on, if not you'll need to replace it, you can get all three for cheap, easy to fit.

Ended up being clutch... It went completely right as a pulled up to my me habit garage luckily :/
