Starting problems

    Hi guys.

I have a 2000 saxo vtr which i recently purchased for spares.

It has trouble starting just wondered what it could be. Once started it seems fine.

There is a pipe which is hanging around by the battery, the other end goes to the bottom of the throttle body. The end which is hanging and not going anywhere blows a small amount of air out.

Anyone know where this goes to.

    thanks

    Ill add pics soon.

Pic 1 shows where the pipe connects to one end, which is at the bottom left of the throttle body.

Pic 2 shows where the other end is just hanging, not connected to anything

The 3rd picture is a picture of the throttle body on my decent saxo, just wondered if anyone knows why its different to my spare saxo.

    cheers guys

It may go to the idle control valve mate, hence the problems with starting/running.

Hmm checked this morning and doesn't seem to go anywhere round there.

Ian thinking it may go into a airbox but the air box for this car only has 1 hole which is for the breather on top of the rocker cover.

    Really confused on this one.

    Thanks
