Vts mods help

Hi I've got a 02 vts rallycross car which has had new forged racing pistons and a PT52 cam upgrade. Car has a fuel regulator upgraded fuel pump but the car is running like a bag of poo.

Very lumpy on idle and no difference in speed at all. It also has 4-1 race manifold and black diamond clutch.

It has a chip wizards ECU do you think this needs re mapped to go with the upgrades or what other problems do you think is causing this

    Cheers

Been told that upgraded cams can cause the car to idle differently? Correct me if I'm wrong

ive bought cat cams 743 for my vts, been told i need to remap otherwise will do what your saying yorus is doing... so my bet is remap so all the settings for fuel etc are set up properly..

100% will need a remap. You've upped the fuel pressure and changed cam timing but haven't altered the map to suit. It'll be overfueling and underfueling all over the shop.

    Get it remapped

Pretty sure your meant to remap after most engine mods?

    Correct me if I'm wrong.

Defo remap.........your best doing that anyway to get the best from your mods even if it were idling not too badly.

According to the people that did the mods it shouldn't need a re map but these same people drilled 2 holes in the inlet manifold flap to what they said" get more air in for it idling".

Oh they also wrecked my first head when they changed the cams because no one told them that PT52 cams would have the right clearance with standard pistons and would need change. Surely someone fitting these cams all the time and portray themselves as experts in saxo would have known that or am I just expecting to much
