   missus phoned me said car is broke lol. got there clutch is flat to bulkhead, 1st guess is cable, pulled the pedal back towards the position it should be in and there is tension there and it pulls the arm on the gearbox...cable ok i guess
   
   
   had to get it home so put it in 1st with ignition off, turned key and juddered forwars then started and would drive fine (apart from no clutch) speedo and rev counter dead.
   
   im guessing that something in the box has gone (return spring???)
   
   any ideas guys,, car is a 2000 vtr 90ish on clock

   sounds like the release bearing has gone
   
   when mine went the clutch went straight to the floor, you're lucky when mine went the shards of metal hit and broke my crank position sensor, as your car starts it means its got away unscathed
   
   you just need a new clutch kit can be had for as little as £50 but most people would advise to get a valeo clutch which are around £90 iirc
