A wet patch :/

    Hey guys,
Just been out to the car to grab something and noticed a wet patch on the drivers side floor pan, the wet patch is located to the left hand side nearest the gear stick cowling, quickly pulled up the carpet and had a good feel and thats all bone dry underneath, had a quick feel under the dash and couldn't find anything, looked around the sun roof and thats all water tight.
Does anyone have any idea's where the water could be coming from?

Does the water smell sweet? If it does it could be leaking heater matrix pipe.

    There's a pun here somewhere I'm sure.

Lol thanks for the jokes but back to seriousness, it doesn't smell sweet no and it only happens when it rains heavily

will be the drains in the scuttle panel blocked, I had this in my diesel in the winter, noticed it on the first long trip I took it one, thought fuck the heater matrix is fucked, but as soon as it stopped raining, it stopped. gets in through the blower motor inlet,

Also, check the sunroof winding mechanism, and the interior light. They sometimes leak through the aerial and puddle in the light / winding mechanism, then drip down.

I'd be inclined to open the sunroof and check the drains too.

checked the sunroof winder thats fine, will check the interior light tomorrow and the sunroof drains.
Someone said it could be the windscreen seal behind the dash??

Doubt it, you'd know about a gap in the windscreen.
Mine is pissing through the ariel hole, then through the interior light.

Note to self, don't jet wash the shit out the ariel hole, keeping it water tight.

Thanks checked the interior light and the seems to be fine, will un-wind the sunroof later and check the drains and take a look around the ariel

I'd just keep a tray of cat litter in the car then, try and dry it up then.
