Exhaust Backbox

  1. #1
Due to britains roads being overly shit, and plenty of pot holes, and other hazards, my exhaust decided it wanted to drop off last night.
Not good when your in a busy cinema carpark, then have to drive back past two police stations... Wasnt a nice loud, was a dirty gutter burble.

MY QUESTION though, what would you folks do? Scrape off the rust, get a new backbox and try and clamp and seal it in place? Would that be possible?

Scrape the rust off the centre section & see how rusty it is before anything else. The backbox has deffo had it.

The flange looks like its had it on the centre pipe, so new centre and backbox needed really. Cheap for a 1.1 though

    New exhaust cat back.

If you want to be really cheap, that could be welded back up.

It does pop nicely, but yeah it's a huge fuck off when you don't want to attract the police. i'll get a new back segment then. Cheers y'all.

    back segment?

you mean centre and rear box? you can't get a new rear box if there's nothing to attach it to unless it's got a split sleeve.

Nothing to do with potholes mate.. lolol.

It's rot, rust passed it's best.

I would buy a new one. A new one isnt expensive..
