206 GTI front struts

    Hi guys,
    I've had a search for this but couldn't really find an answer.

    I know somebody who is breaking a 206 GTI and he's offered me the front struts, complete with brakes, springs, dampers etc for a decent price.

    (I have a MK1 VTR)

    I just wanted to know:
    1. Are the struts a straight fit/swap?
    2. Are there any positives/negatives to using this setup?
    3. If I were to buy some Saxo VTR lowering springs and dampers, would they fit the 206 struts?
    4. Will the brakes fit under my standard VTR wheels?


    Any help/advice would be brilliant!

    I highly doubt they're fit straight in.

    the struts are different, they wont fit. The brakes will fit though, and im pretty sure under vtr wheels too

    Cheers guys, he said they're pretty much identical but obviously not!
