#2New axel mate.

#3do the repair kits not work? i can get a kit from GSF for £45
-
#4The repair kit will work ONLY if the stub isn't damaged by corrosion.
You need to dismantle the axle to find out what damage there is.
Also, do both sides. -
#5it only failed on 1 side which i dont understand, hmm right thanks ill have a look tomorrow ive had enough of the car today! lol
-
#7This was an advisory on mine in August.. rear radius arm bushes both sides but play not excessive enough to fail..
Rumbling started on the back end and was told the rear wheel was moving around as if its held on by sellotape tonight.
Booked in for a re-con axle now on wednesday
£480 fitted. -
#8Sorry but fuck that, it is a do able job in an afternoon. Save yourself a shit load of cash.
-
#9Seems excessive.
I paid £300 all in fitted with powerflex bushes and re-lowered before i left. (fitted)
Who's doing it? -
#10Buying and fitted direct from IM is a good price. Works out about £40 to get it fitted. I can understand garages charging 3-4 hours for it.
-
#11They got it at the garage now.. the axle is coming early in the week.
Croxdale Citroen in Consett, County Durham.
I needed it done fast as I'm without a car till its fixed
I was going to get rid of it before the next MOT but it looks like I'll be keeping it now. -
#12I aint got the facilities or tools Mick to do it myself
