Strange sound when braking

Hi all... Another cluedo puzzle for you.

I seem to be practically rebuilding this saxo and everytime I do something.. Another problem!

Anyway... I'm getting a REALLY weird noise from driver front wheel... but only when braking.

Probably best described as a squeaking/rubbing noise!?

Brakes... all good. I know the wheels/tyres are good.

Don't think it's a bearing (no whine either).

    ANY IDEAS?

    Hmmm...!

scored discs/dead pads? Have you checked that at all.

Greased the back of the pads?

Pads look pretty newish, so not a major concern. Not greased though, so might give this a pop!

    Discs... Look good as well.

Gunna be another fun filled weekend of work it appears!

Bit copper grease should help with any sqeaking.

The joys of a saxo, always something.

If its lowered then its probs splash guard rubbing against tyre , or the splash guards came loose?

    Not lowered mate. Cheers.

you need to use the brakes hard every so often.

If you are light on the brakes too often, the pads become glazed and that makes them squeak. regardless of the amount of grease on the back of the pad
