Gsxr 600 throttle body fitting

  1. #1
mate said he can hand me a gsxr 600 throttle body if i wanted to do something slightly crazyto my tiny 1.0, thing is ive never heard of anybody putting a bike throttle body on a tu9m 106 engine, only on rallyes/xsi's/ gti's etc which kinda makes me wanna do it more as it will be more impressive.

anybody got any pointers? first off would i get it to fit my engine? and anybody know which components id need to swap for such a mod? as i wasnt planning on throwing money here there and everywhere to make it work just yet lol.

8v manifold, pred ecu, maybe a vtr/furio loom depending if you have a spi 1.0 but i think if you have a spi the coolant flows into the manifold or something so another 8v head would also be needed.

for the gains it would give its just not worth it.

but the cheaper option is bike carbs and a ax gt dizzy.

waste of time and money trying to do a 1.0

better off getting a vtr engine or something for £50

figured that would be the answer, i like the idea of seeing how much i could possibly get out of a 1.0 despite everyone saying get a bigger engine.

what bike carbs would you recomend for my puny 1.0 though lol? and whats a dizzy? i was looking for an axgt carb first and couldnt find any breaking gt's so dunno if i could find it anyway lol

Theres only so much air and fuel you can get in a n/a 1litre... More air and fuel bigger bang = more power... R6 carbs theres a set in the for sale section... Bolt them on with the ax distributor setup then go get them setup properly... Youll be looking at about 6-700 quid to do it properly and see some gains...

funny you mension that i was just going through the motion of looking at r6 carbs, im not in the money atm so hopefully they are still on sale when im finished other bits, just blew money on parking fine and rallye/xsi bumpers so skint. im guessing theres places where they can remap with that setup then? if so do you know any?
