have tick over problem and

    hi i have a saxo vtr 1997 1.6 i broute off ebay has all the mods looks like stopped half way throught rebuild, was missing a ECU a battery exhaust and induction kit. i got those and fitted a new clutch disc pads lights everything ,,, i got it started and running ...and after a 5 seconds it runs up to about 3000 revs and stays there , have just noticed some oil now and a breather pipe is not connected at the back of engine think may have the other put on backwards too and now theres no sensor for the air as its a aftermarket induction kit ,,,what im asking is can everybody give as many suggestions as possible could do with it ill try find standard air box tomorrow but all the pipes were do they go can anybody please stop by whos knows there stuff willing to pay petrol and a pint living in pershore worcestershire thank you get me at ketchlife@hotmail.co.uk

    Give your idle control valve a clean.

    thanks for the reply stevo67 ...after it all i got hold of a orginal airbox with sensors and breather pipes fitted them this morn got rid of all problems now except for this idle ..ive taken off and clean idle control value but hasernt donw any good, so just orderd new should be here by this afternoon , is there a diffrence in idle sensor and throttle sensors and were is its location if so . yer really need this car working by tomorrow so any helpful tips guys ad girls thanks v much ketch
