Could clean you idle control valve.

    Any pics of your civic?

Does she sound like shes getting enough fuel? Blocked filter?

Once started she is fine which is why I didnt think it would be a filter as for pics of the civic ill get some up later (I race it at long marston - shakespeare county raceway)

Its almost like there is an immobiliser kicking in

You could disconnect the immobiliser and give it a crack to rule it out.

Where do I find that? I'm totally lost when it comes to this car lol

Where do I find the immobiliser on the car a is it to do with the chip in a key?

Yeah it is, the immobiliser is behind the the glove box. Disconect it when the engines running.

If you search the forum there's a thread or two on removing it.

Found it, removed it with the engine running and its still not playing ball.

I didn't think fuel pump or filter as once its started she is fine.

It appears to be the fuel pump :/ as its not spraying fuel out, had it put on a fault reader last night and nothing came up so we pulled the fuel line off at the rail and nothing came out even when it primed up hardly anything came out

New fuel pump fitted I'm £150 lighter but the car is running and I'm a bit happier now

Expensive new pumps. I caught a bank holiday price off ecp for £100.

    Cant trust used.

Supplied and fitted for £145 which I didnt think was too bad

Its not too hard to fit. The 2 pipes and clips are fiddly though.

Hope it was £145 for a brand new pump fitted and not used. Its only under the back seat under a circle cover.
