3 Plug ECU to 1 Plug ECU Car

   I have a VTS 3-plug ECU and engine bay wiring loom (and engine to match), was wondering if its a straight swap into a 1997 Saxo VTS which i am guessing would be a single plug ECU.

   You need a loom splice or a 3 plug interior loom.

   why cant i just swap the engines over and keep the single plug ecu in the 1997 car?
   surely the engines are the same with the same connectors and plugs?

   I didn't read your post properly sorry mate. You can do that, you need to ditch the 3 plug engine loom and ecu and use the engine. Just swap over the parts that need doing like map sensor, alternator etc. You will have every thing you need if you've bought a complete engine.
   
   Some of the connectors and plugs are different.
