Temp gauge vtr mk1

   Hey guys!
   Temp gauge keeps rising above half but doesn't hit the boiling hot bit lol thankgod! Any suggestions on what could be making it rise above half.
   A friend told me that its because i just have an air filter cone slammed on and that the air filter is breathing in all the hot air from the engine and that if i got a cold air feed from the front of the grill leading back upto the air filter id find it sat at normal temperature. The car runs sweet and no issues, just the temp.

   Its normal they run like that,mine does & never overheats mate.

   Yeah, thanks bro! It started to worry me whilst driving up the motorway on a 95 mile journey the other day lol i was like umm do i pull over haha, i only bought the car last week u see so i was abit hmm when noticed the temp gauge as when i owned a mk2 vtr didn't have problem with the temp gauge.
