What's that light

The one to the left of the passenger air bag on/off switch??

Its staying on now whilst the ignition is on and I'm sure it wasn't before today.

I'm guessing its something to do with the immobiliser or alarm but the car never fails to start.

What does happen on the odd occasion is when I open the drivers door the hazard lights come on.

    Any ideas?

If it looks like a speaker with lines through, that's for the internal sensors on the top of A pillars

    This light

When I turn the ignition on this light comes on and stays on until I switch the ignition back off.

I'm fairly certain it wasn't like this before yesterday but maybe it was.....I reckon I would have noticed though.

Thats the light thats to do with your alarm. I believe if it stays on it means youve de-activated the alarm. Press and hold the button to the left of the hazard switch to reactivate the alarm.
Feel free to correct me if im wrong anyone.

    Cheers

Question now is yesterday when I left my grandpas I unlocked the door using the key and when opened the door the hazards started flashing and kept flashing.

Now I always unlock the car with the key in the barrel as I believe the fob doesn't work.there are 3 fobs,2 of which are hawk ones which don't work at all.i presume these were for a previous alarm system that is no longer fitted.

The other key fob seems to be a bit temperamental, sometimes it makes the noise as if the doors are unlocking but they never do.....

    Anymore input on this?

Another thing that seems to happen is when I fart about with it using the fob and causing the hazards to go off when I open the door my fuel gauge sticks.

It seems to go back to normal after I disconnect the battery and connect it back up but why does it do that?
