Quick clutch cable question

  1. #1
Got a day off today so I'm going to look at this problem. It is difficult to get the car into gear and has some crunches. I have also noticed that if I am parked on flat ground and put it into 1st with the clutch pedal to the floor and take my foot off the break, it will move forward

The bite on the clutch is basically at the floor as well so it seems that when I press the clutch it isn't fully disengaging. Would tightening the clutch cable sort this or do you think the clutch is fubar'd?

    Cheers for any help/advice

P.S fooked the title and can't change it

first thing to try anyway -but if making cable tighter doesn,t cure it --then maybe clutch and maybe the arm at g/box end is split --maybe inside the clutch housing

If it was split what would it take to put right and cost? Cheers for the reply
