VTR Driver's Door Won't Open (at all)

    Hi guys, newbie here so apologies if it's in the wrong section.

    First post, and its a problem. I've got a 52 plate VTR and the drivers door won't open, from the inside or the outside, like it's constantly locked. If I put the key in the barrel it turns about half what it should, like something is jammed between the barrel and the door pin. The door pin doesn't move a great deal either. There is no resistance at the inside or outside handle

    I've managed to get the door card off, but with the door stuck shut, I haven't got a great view of what's on. I can operate the central locking by hooking my hand inside the door and pulling the plunger and that's moving fine and works the passenger door and boot with no problem.

    I'm slowly running out of idea's, I've drenched all the moving parts I can get to with WD and tried a bit of persuasion with no joy.

    If anyone has experienced this or has got any pointers I'd really appreciate them.

    I remember a similar thread in here.. At least you managed to take the card off so that's half the problem sorted. Check the rods.

    Thanks Manu, eventually got the door open after fiddling with a few levers, lubricated everything and just gonna leave the card off for a few days to make sure

    Wind the window right down,put a cloth over the door pin & ease up with long nose pliers.
