Hi everyone my 2001 vts abs light has just come on,, I have ordered full discs and pads as on the rear the pad has worn more on one side, could this cause the abs light to come on?
abs light - brake condition related?

#2No. Most common causes of the light coming on are broken sensor or broken abs ring. Have you touched the brakes at all? Could be you've disturbed something. If not any garage with a half decent diagnostics kit can plug in and check which wheel is causing the problem than its just a case of inspecting the ring or the sensor.

#3Nope 1 sensor is out now you can guess.

Cheaper getting it plugged in and finding which one it is. -
#4Cheaper using a mutlimeter across the terminals tbh.
You wast 900-1300 ohms.
Usually when they fail it'll be either 0 or infinite (open circuit)
All the sensors should be a similar resistance.1 user thanked this post: -
#5Also i`d want to find the cause of uneven break pad wear,ie a sticking caliper?

#6Sticky calliper or sticky slider are most common culprits.
