Important! : Fuel pump priming

    Just gone to start my vts (mk1 T reg ) and it failed to start! .. Was turnin over but not firing .. After afew attemps I noticed the fuel pump wasnt priming! .. I disconected the battery AND Ecu for 5minutes then hooked them back up an turned the key an it primed then turned the key again an it fired up! .. It drove fine No spluttering or loss of power .. stupid question but I dont know -Does the fuel pump work all the time or just for starting up?? .. Just stop't off at the shop on the way back home an it primed an fired up straight away .. Does it sound like the pumps on the way out or an ecu fault? ... Thanks

    Of course the fuel pump,pumps all the time however it doesn`t continue primming all the time.
