Important! : Saxo VTS Start/Idle problem

  1. #1
Hi my cousins vts has got a bit of a issue when trying to start it, sometimes it will start and then just die but if you give it some throttle it will start but when you let off again it just dies! and when it does start and idle if you give it a blip of the throttle it revs up then it comes down to much and just about cuts out then saves itself and other time it just dies. It still runs well though thats what i dont get

It started perfectly for her everyday before this happened, it was just when it was left for a week i had to get the jump pack to start it as battery died that this whole problem started

I have taken the throttle body of and checked it over, i also checked the idle speed control valve was working and gave it a wee clean i also tried disconnecting the battery for a few hours then reconnecting it and going for a decent run as some people say this resets the ecu or sensors memory but its still the same

If anybody has had this problem or thinks they know what it may be i would br very grateful!
    cheers guys in advance

If you search there forums you'll find a few threads about this as others have had the same issue. Could be a few different things which have caused it, few people have said cam sensor and someone else resolved it with a new lambada sensor.

Does anybody know what the sensor directly opposite the idle speed control valve is?
its has a two pin connection and is in a blanked of hole

not had much progress with this problem yet. found out the thing opposite the icv is a throttle body heater. tested the icv and it seems to be ok, so I got it code read and it came back with 5 codes-

P1327 Ignition - Integrated Phase detection
P0106 Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance Problem
    P1524 Idle stepper motor/open circuit
P0113 Intake Air Temperature Circuit High Input
P0123 Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit High Input

when you clear the codes and start the car they all just come back
    has anybody had this before?
Some people seem to say coilpack, some say knock sensor and others say wiring to ecu
I am beginning to think there is something up with the wiring or ecu!
Any help is very much appreciated
