#2Try giving the pump a tap with a bar and mallet combo they can and do get stick from time to time. May cure it may not so it sounds like new pump time to me, but before all this check its getting power with a multimeter in the plug for the pump with the car running!

#3No lights? Do you mean no warning lights on the dashboard?Quote:Can anyone help I was driving my 2000 saxo furio power steering fine went into shop come out and it has gone off no lights heater fan still working so dont think it is alternator
Don't overlook the alternator, start the car and measure the voltage across the battery, it should be at least 13v at idle.
Hit your PAS pump with a hammer, if it starts working, you have 3 options:
1.) Buy a new pump at about £180 ish.
2.) Fit a second hand pump and be faced with the same problem at some point. (most people go for this option)
3.) Man up and remove the PAS pump and lines.
do NOT hit the plastic bit of the pump, hit the motor side of it. you can get to it from underneath the front bumper on the passenger side.
P.S Please use some sort of punctuation, your post is almost impossible to decipher. Thanks.
