Mini 12v battery.

Discovered a dinky 12v battery at work today ( Powersonic Lead battery ps -1270 F1 ) model.

My guess is it's well and truly dead, but I know you can get free battery tests from most motor factor, but would a battery this small give a normal reading?

Should I just buy a trickle charger off ebay and see if it holds a charge?

stick it in your car, ask a mate with jump leads to get you started, go for a drive locally for a while, so the car can charge, turn off, turn back on, leave over night, see if its still working..

If its got charge it will show a normal reading of X amount of Volts, the same as a regular car battery.
Its the cold cranking amps you need to take into account.

What are you thinking of using it for? Problem you get it, batteries don't like to be low on charge it kills them.

It's for testing car parts before I wack them into to the car. Mostly electrical fiddling etc.

A trickle charger is a very handy tool to have if you do not already have one. I'd buy one.
