Important! : speedo/rev counter problem

  1. #1
I woke up this morning to find my battery dead after my wife had left a light on,
got car started and charged back up, but now the Speedo and rev counter don't work. The fuel gage, oil, dash lights, warning lights and little display still work fine.

I've searched all over google and only solution I could found was disconnecting the battery for 1hour then reconnecting it, so I tryed this but it hasn't fixed it.

    Can any please help me!

Pull the bottom right fuse from the glove compartment fuse box and re insert it, with the key in the acc position (1 click)

If that doesn't work, pull the fuse 4th from the left on the bottom row, and re insert.

Check the fuses aren't blown as well

Low voltages can glitch the digital dials.

Thanks for info. Bottom right fuse solved the problem but another problem had developed. Opening/closing car by remote is no longer working.

    Can anyone help with that?

That one can sometimes be sorted by disconnection the battery. Worth a try.

The problem with remote locking started since battery was disconnected.

You need to re-pair the key.

Lock, unlock, lock and unlock the drivers door, within 10 seconds press the lock button twice, the doors should now lock. Give that a try

either that, or it's coincidence your battery key has died as well
