I got hit!

    Hi Everyone!

    I was driving home today and an old bloke in a Vauxhall Rascal decided he was to busy to wait. So he decided to pull out across a bus lane right into the back on my car as I was driving past.

    Luckily it missed the rear axle, just looks like undramatic aesthetic damage.






    My bumper looks like its a bit out of place, is it going to be simple bolt-off- bolt-on affair? Or has he cracked any important mounting from what you can see?

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Insurance might write it off as it looks like your rear quater is dented

    Did you get the guys details?Go to a bodyshop & get an estimate the 1/4 panel is bent & maybe other parts are damaged.Which you won`t know until you get the bumper off,then bill the guy who hit you.Don`t go through the insurance company.

    pop some work gloves on, get hold of the arch and give it a yank, tiger seal the trim back on, buff the scratches, job done.

    that is of course after getting an estimate form a bodyshop and cash from the old fart.

    be daft to go through insurance. rear bumper, rear arch, rear pulled, filled then sprayed.
    I just threw out a decent bumper and pair of rear arches as i couldnt give them away, they wont set you back much.

    Have the body shop give you a quote, i would estimate around £450 and get the old bloke to pay it.
