Faint knocking noise....Cheap droplink?

Ive got a faint knocking noise which can be heard while driving along doesn't have to be a really bumpy road just normal british road surface and it knocks regularly as I drive along. It doesn't knock round corners or when hitting big bumps/potholes.

Basically I have my suspicions that its my passenger side droplink as the noise appeared immediately after changing driveshafts and at the same time I changed the passenger side droplink for a new one as the rubber had perished due to the cars age.

I've had the car jacked up and everything is fitted correctly.

So my question is does the type of noise and when its making it sound like a droplink issue and could it be caused by fitting a very cheap droplink? I say this as I bought another droplink later on to fit to the other side when I get chance and it seems a lot stronger and better quality part.

The car is on 23k so most things should still have a decent bit of life left.

Could be a whole lot of things!

23k or not, all them components are at least 13 yrs+ old!

Yeah I've replaced a fair few parts due to age already but seems strange it only started after the work I did as before that it wasn't making the noise.

Drop links tend to knock when you corner. give it a left and right a few times on a flat road and if it's drop links it'll click.

I think you, perhaps, haven't torqued up your pinch bolt for the ball joint correctly.

My drop links cost £9.80 each no problems at all.

Pinch bolt is torqued up correctly and been double checked after 500miles, all ok, so dont think it can be that. Done 1500miles with it like it is and not had any knocking in corners or clicking just the faint knocking when driving along.
