Right first thing first bought a y plate VTS back in march without the immobiliser working, the light on the dash never flashed or anything ive always just unlocked and started the car with the key with no problems didnt bother me until yesterday. Got in the car turned the key all the way to ignition and pop all the lights went off on the dash, basically killed all the power to the car. Had to get out and fanny about with the battery terminals to get it to power up again and it did, however as this stage the imobiliser light on the dash was flashing. So closed the bonnet again with the power back and locked up the car unlocked it tried to jump in and start however this time with the key right at ignition the car alarm starts going off! going crazy at this stage btw!! So im thinking im pretty goosed cars got power it was turning over starting fine but as i said everytime it starts the alarm goes off so i jump out lock it up again and the alarm stops with the imobiliser light blinking away at me inside. That should really be the end of the story however it is not haha i managed somehow to get around this by unlocking the car opening bonnet disconnecting the negative battery terminal going back to the car turning the key to second stage ignition reconnectiong the negative terminal and bobs for uncle fannys your auntie an all that bollocks the imobiliser light is now off and the dash has all lighted up and the car started nae bother with no alarm.
