Ok, this started happening to my quiksilver this morning. I reversed off my drive and the car shuddered/kangeroo'd repeatedly like the clutch had been lifted too fast. If I lift the clutch and take up the drive very slowly it doesn't do it, and it doesn't do it every time.
Prior to this, I have been getting "metal vibrating against metal" type noises from the gear linkages when hitting about 3.5k revs. Pretty sure it's the linkages because if you hold the gear stick over, it doesn't do it. I also have upgraded linkages with no rubber bits in the ball joints.
Am I right in thinking that both of these symptoms point to a dead/dying lower engine mount (i.e. the one by the exhaust)?
